PMRC
I do not believe that putting labels that warn parents about the contents in certain songs is censorship. Certainly it's not right, but it's not censorship either. Censorship would require not allowing an artist to make any type of music. The artists can still make whatever they want, they just need to have a label put on their albums. It would make some stores not want to sell them and some parents not want to buy them, but the alternative is to create a clean version where everyone would be fine with it. It would cost money, but every good artist or businessperson knows you have to spend money to make money. The artists are free to do whatever they want, the buyers are only warned. Therefore, it is NOT censorship.
