New Fact: Seashell

The roar that we hear when we place a seashell next to our ear is not the ocean, but rather the sound of blood surging through the veins in the ear. Any cup-shaped object placed over the ear produces the same effect. Isn't that weird? I knew that I didn't hear the ocean, of course but its blood in the veins! That is WEIRD. Pretty cool, ain't it?

I'm pretty sure that when I do that I actually DO hear the ocean. I was raised by dolphins, so I have this really close connection with water. I hear it EVERYWHERE.

I never knew that about seashells. I mean, I knew it wasn't the ocean too, but that's still pretty weird. The vein must echo or something when you put your ear next to the seashell.
