Adolescence

Adolescence is the bridge between childhood and adulthood. In this phase in someones life, the person goes through many different changes. They also experience things that will determine what type of adult they become in the future. For example: someone that grows up in a hostile environment might end up hostile to everyone around them themselves whereas someone who grows up in a peaceful environment might end up believing that violence is never the answer. Everyone has there own personal and unique experience.
Teenagers have to cope with being too young and being too old at the same time. They can't do the same things they did when they were little, but they also can't do the same things that adults do. During this time, teenagers usually learn how to be responsible because they are given privileges that they were never given as a child. When responsibility comes into play, a fraction of childhood slips away from them because now they have something to worry about. They are no longer worry-free children.
